Summer Sullivan

Human Resources & Operations Coordinator

Summer joined MBM in August 2021. In her role as Human Resources Administrator, Summer handles all of MBM’s HR needs, including everything from strategic recruitment to creating internal health and safety policies and everything in between. Furthermore, as MBM’s operations administrator, she oversees and streamlines the office’s processes and workflows while researching and implementing potential technological solutions. Yet, no matter what the task is, she brings MBM’s friendly, client-first ethos to everything she does while striving to make MBM an even better place to work.

Formerly a Zamboni driver for the Ottawa Senators hockey team, Summer decided upon a career change before enrolling in George Brown College’s Postgraduate Human Resources Management Program. After completing her coursework, she did her co-op at MBM before joining the organization full-time. She is now pursuing her CHRP designation with the HRPA. Her previous education includes her undergraduate degree in philosophy and history from the University of Ottawa.

A lifelong musician, Summer dedicates her time outside of work to Ottawa’s local music scene, where she plays in two bands. Her other interests include sci-fi literature and StarCraft.
