My Background and Focus
Dilip has been active in the patent field since graduating from university in 2000. He qualified as a Patent Agent in Canada in 2002 and has focused on drafting and prosecution of patents across a variety of technical fields.
In 2009, Dilip left private practice and spent the next 11 years practicing as an in-house patent agent for two major telecommunications companies. During this time, Dilip developed a number of patent portfolios in the wireless communications and advanced networking fields. As part of his in-house role, he managed patent portfolios with a keen eye on building licensable and enforceable patents, as well as managed patent drafting and prosecution efforts in many jurisdictions around the world.
In 2020, Dilip returned to private practice, exclusively representing Canadian innovators looking to build patent portfolios with cost-effective strategies. Dilip represented clients in various fields, including advanced wireless networking, medical devices, mechanical tools, and many others.
At MBM, Dilip brings his extensive experience in patent drafting and prosecution, developing patent strategies for both prosecution and enforcement, and invention mining.
