My Background and Focus

I joined MBM at the beginning of 2026 as a Patent Agent focusing on patent drafting and prosecution. I was drawn to MBM for two main reasons: the incredible team and collaborative environment, and the clients and technologies they work with. With my background in Engineering and Physics, I work in a variety of industries including electronics, physics, mechanics, software, PBX, Wi-Fi, 3GPP communications, USB communications and power, antennae, keyboards (cellphone), GUIs, telescopes and astronomy, semiconductor fabrication, satellite communications, quantum computing, fibre-optics, lasers, and AI.

As a Registered Canadian Patent Agent (CIPO/CPATA) and Reciprocity Patent Agent (USPTO), I have worked in-house on the client side and on the firm side, gaining a deep understanding of the complexities of patent drafting, prosecution, and enforcement, as well as the importance of the client-IP firm relationship. Throughout my career, I have approached each project with the same mindset – blending problem-solving and curiosity with a practical understanding of the client’s objectives.
