My Background and Focus

Echo joined MBM in January 2026 as a Patent Specialist. She is an experienced Patent Agent certified by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), with more than 20 years of experience in patent prosecution. In addition, she has experience in in-house intellectual property quality management and deep knowledge of 3G, 4G, 5G, and 6G standard-essential patent licensing and litigation.

Before joining MBM, Echo worked in-house for an international telecommunications company, where she specialized in drafting patent applications and preparing office action responses related to 4G and 5G 3GPP standards. She also has extensive knowledge and practical experience in patent prosecution across multiple jurisdictions, including China, US, Europe, and PCT.

Throughout her career, Echo has participated in and led 4G/5G patent licensing and litigation matters in China, US, and Europe. In addition, she has eight years of experience in patent quality management in Canada. As a Patent Quality Manager, she developed global patent quality management protocols for diverse standards and product requirements, reviewed standard-essential patent claim charts, and helped build high-value patent portfolios to support licensing and litigation strategies.

Echo is recognized for her exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on client-tailored IP services and patent prosecution management.
