My life outside of work

When I describe my life outside of work, it sounds like I’m describing two different people! On the one hand, I am super creative. I love to sit quietly and dabble in graphic design and photography, paint (I love creating murals), and play the piano. I also enjoy listening to podcasts about self-development, learning about other cultures, and how certain events (like Burning Man) become a cultural phenomenon – anything to expand my mind and deepen my thinking. On the other hand, I also really enjoy sports and physical activity like snowboarding, skiing, diving, rafting, and even some extreme things, like bungee jumping (my dream is to try skydiving!).

Travelling has also been a big part of my life, exploring new countries like Turkey, Georgia, Poland, Egypt, and Germany. When travelling, I always put a lot of effort into my photography and really enjoy creating videos that highlight the countries’ landscapes and architectural designs, as they make such great keepsakes after a vacation.

When I lived in Ukraine, my grandmother taught me a lot about gardening. She taught me how to plant and care for fruits, vegetables, flowers, and plants. When I immigrated to Canada, I decided to continue her traditions and create my own vegetable garden. I honestly think that my cherry tomatoes are the best—she would be proud!
