My Background and Focus
I joined MBM in 2009, initially handling payroll. With time, my role has expanded to include human resources, project management, and the implementation of various business systems (the operations management side of the firm), as well as gathering and analyzing business metrics. In the human resources area, I’m responsible for the full recruitment cycle, including resume review, interviewing, performance management, staff productivity, internal staff relations, benefits administration and payroll.
I love my role because MBM has always fostered growth within the firm, providing me with many challenging opportunities along the way, a productive learning environment, and the flexibility to pursue my volunteering work with significant time commitment, which is one of my personal passions, while still contributing to an amazing firm.
Through my volunteer work with a wide variety of individuals in multiple countries, sharing life-changing experiences while helping others, I have enriched my life tremendously. It has really taught me respect and empathy for others, which is what helping people inside MBM and outside the firm is all about. With the firm’s support, I can follow my passions, professionally and personally.
Prior to working at MBM, I completed the Payroll Leadership Professional certification with the National Payroll Institute (NPI), and I am now also a Subject Matter Expert at the NPI. Some of my previous roles included working as a Payroll Administrator for a national manufacturing company and a client service role for one of Canada’s leading payroll service providers.
My Approach
I firmly believe that mutual respect, understanding, and collaboration are key to a great working environment.

My life outside of work
I love volunteering as a teacher! If I am not working, that’s where you’ll find me, building connections and friendships with students.
Otherwise, I’m a homebody. I love to spend time at home with my dogs, reading a good book or catching my favourite TV series. And, when I’m feeling creative, I take out the watercolours for an afternoon of painting.
Over the years, I have been fortunate to have many of my volunteer projects provide me with opportunities to travel. I love exploring new places by hiking trails and strolling through towns, and as an amateur photographer, I’ve been documenting my incredible travel experiences through photography. I’m always looking for my next adventure!
Community Involvement
- Grenada, Nicaragua – 6 months volunteering with the vibrant deaf community in Nicaragua as a teacher. Learned some new signs in LSN, but most importantly, learned that genuine kindness has no social, economic, or cultural boundaries.
- Kathmandu, Nepal – 8 months volunteering as a teacher, but in reality, what I learned about this country and its people changed me forever.
