My Background and Focus

My interest in law began early in my life, thanks to watching the TV show “The Practice” with my mom. It sparked a fascination with the legal world and a desire to advocate for others, make a positive impact, and contribute to the pursuit of justice. With a love for learning and great attention to detail, I quickly realized that a career in law would be both fulfilling and a natural fit for my skills. After completing my Bachelor’s degree at Western University, I went on to study in the Law Clerk Program at Fanshawe College.

I joined MBM in March 2025 as a Litigation Law Clerk and was immediately drawn to the firm’s welcoming, close-knit culture and collaborative spirit. In my role, I help keep the practices of our partners and lawyers running smoothly—whether it’s managing schedules, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, organizing case files, assisting lawyers with day-to-day operations, preparing for court, or ensuring all the details behind the scenes are taken care of seamlessly. Recently, I was appointed as a Commissioner for Taking Affidavits, allowing me to work directly with clients on the signing and swearing of documents. I take pride in keeping things organized and efficient, supporting my colleagues so they can focus on what they do best. I especially enjoy working across departments, as these connections not only make the workday more rewarding but also strengthen the work product we produce as a team.

Before joining MBM, I spent over 10 years as a law clerk specializing in bankruptcy and insolvency, and civil and commercial litigation. That experience exposed me to a wide range of industries and legal matters – an invaluable foundation that I continue to draw on in my work today.

My Approach

I believe everyone has a voice and deserves to feel heard. I try to bring compassion, collaboration, and genuine care into everything I do, whether I’m working with clients or supporting my colleagues. Building strong relationships and being a reliable team player are the parts of my work I enjoy most.

With a background in philosophy, I developed strong skills in critical thinking, logic, and communication—all of which serve me well in legal work. Paired with my hands-on experience in law, I’m able to break down complex ideas, look at problems from different angles, but still keep the bigger picture in mind. Whether it’s organizing case files, conducting research, or assisting lawyers with court preparation, I take pride in ensuring things run smoothly.

My life outside of work

I love attending my children’s sporting activities and supporting them from the sidelines. When the kids are not involved in extracurricular activities, we go camping. My family loves exploring the beautiful province of Ontario; there is so much to see and experience! As a family, we are very active, which is a great way to merge exercise, fun, and family time. Whether we are playing sports, going for bike rides, hiking, or finding the next great adventure park, we are always on the go!

During the winter months, you will find me glued to the TV watching the Toronto Maple Leafs games – I am a huge fan! And when I need some quiet time, you can find me tucked away with my nose in a book, or in the kitchen trying out new baking recipes  – making treats for the next hockey game!

Community Involvement

  • Bark in the Park – For years, I participated in the annual Bark in the Park events held in London, Ontario – an initiative aimed at raising funds and awareness for the London Humane Society. These events brought the community together in support of animal welfare, and I was proud to be a part of that cause.
  • Local cat shelters – I try to attend and contribute to the events and fundraisers they hold throughout the year to help raise money for the shelters and the animals. I enjoy getting involved by donating items and money whenever possible. All the cats in our family came from local shelters as rescues, and they’re awesome.
