We are pleased to announce that Jean-Sébastien Brière, Lawyer and Patent Agent, has joined our MBM team! Jean-Sébastien is based in our Montreal office and is fully bilingual in French and English.

As a lawyer (Quebec, Ontario, and New York State Bars) and a Canadian Patent Agent, he blends his business acumen with his legal expertise to provide MBM’s clients with support in every aspect of IP protection. With over 25 years in IP law, particularly in litigation and commercial transactions involving IP assets in Canada and the United States, he focuses his practice on the technology industry.
In addition to his legal practice, Jean-Sébastien works to advance IP law by providing training and seminars on patents and intellectual property law topics to startup incubators and innovation hubs. He also regularly teaches at the university level, engaging future generations of IP professionals.
